What We
Like about LandlordMax Property Rental Software (continued
from Part 1)
 What
really makes LandlordMax shine
is its unmatched report generator. With
the click of a button, you can churn out over 100 different reports.
While the creation of reports is a standard feature of most property
management programs, no other software comes close to the might of
LandlordMax.
This makes it very easy and convenient for you to
analyze how well your rental business is going. The reports that you
can generate range from very basic rental income from a tenant to the
highly complex late accounting entries grouped by category for
landlords who want to micro manage.
LandlordMax also scores high marks in how it handles the crucial issue
of late payments flawlessly. As you can tell from the our Landlord
review screenshot in Part 1, late rent payments are color coded to
highlight their
urgency. On top of that, there is even a late fee calculator to help
you figure out how much to charge your tenants for late rent.
While you can probably figure out most of this software by yourself, we
do appreciate the wide selection of help and customer support
available. The user manual is well written and comes with screenshots
and clear step-by-step instructions.
What
We Don't Really Like about LandlordMax Property Rental Software
While LandlordMax property management software does produce excellent
and detailed reports, you will
realize that the reports are all in numbers and figures. We are
being picky here but it will be even better if we can
generate graphs and pie charts for reports. This will make
life easier for people who are uncomfortable with numbers. - This issue
has been fixed (see "Update" below).
Update:
With new changes rolled out with version 6.05 and later, you can
now generate helpful pie charts and bar graphs with a click.
There is no auto-sync or multiple login functions for LandlordMax
property management software. In plain English, it means that your
rental property data is stored offline, making it a bit more
troublesome to share it with others or change computers. That said,
moving your property data around is simple - LandlordMax allows you to
copy and paste saved data between computers.
If you are managing your rental properties with other people... or
want a quick and easy way to access your rental information on the
move, you should
consider going for a top rated web-based property management program
such as Buildium.
This is more of a wish list item rather than a complaint but it
will be even better if LandlordMax can actually link up with bank
accounts so that you can send and receive payments directly from
it. To be fair, this feature is usually only found in customised
property rental software that can easily cost you more than a thousand
dollars.
Our
Conclusion and Recommendations for LandlordMax Rental Software
To sum up our LandlordMax review, we can safely conclude that this is
one of
those rare property
management programs that actually over-delivers. For the reasonably low
price of $165, you get a complete set of powerful features that can
handle almost all rental issues and needs.
We were also pleasantly surprised by how simple it was to use given its
huge list of functions. You will be able to use most of the features
from day one without a manual... and as you grow more comfortable with
it, you will uncover the more advanced functions that is going to make
your life even easier.
