My Fatal Common Landlord Mistakes

I had a tenant who was pushy about getting into one of our properties and because the Property Manager "liked" her, I made the landlord mistake of accepting her.

During the signing of the lease, she kept texting and answering phone calls. I should have gone with my gut instincts and ripped up the lease agreement and all the other paperwork.

She immediately put up a satellite dish on our brand new roof, scratched the brand new hardwood floor upon moving in, messed up the new front door and flushed tampons down the toilet... all within a couple of days of her move-in.

She is also argumentative and claimed that it was our fault that the "rules" were not explained to her.

Never again will I commit the same landlord mistakes again.
