Find New Tenants with Craigslist

by Kevin D
(Richmond, VA)

If you are a landlord leasing property in USA, be sure to check out the Craigslist website (www.craigslist.org) for your area. While many people use Craigslist to sell items or hunt for jobs, it is also an excellent way for you to advertise your rental property for free.

To maximize your marketing results and attract more tenants, let me share a few quick tips for posting "for rent" ads on Craigslist.

Photos, photos, photos - A picture does indeed speak a thousand words in a property classifieds. You should take a clear photo of every room in your property and insert it into your Craigslist listing with the HTML 'img' tag.

Whenever you post an ad in Craigslist, it appears prominently at the top of the list. As new listings are posted, your own ad will get push to the bottom. That's why I recommend that you repost your ads every 2 days to make sure they get in front of many eyeballs as possible.
